This really is a motivating factor as to why a lot of black men try to claim mixed-race and Latina women as “black”. And for the women, it gives them the opportunity to move into a community and culture where they may be placed on a higher pedestal and valued more than within their own culture. Lots of people have done this. They gotten results from Ancestry and 23andme and others to compare them. There is even a website named GEDmatch where you can do this. This is allegedly how they caught the Zodiac killer in California.
