im sure that was a wild snake.....which makes me wonder why it kept threatening to strike but rarely did it. maybe it was discombobulated by all the fucking dogs. But im sure the poison it had was strong enough to deaden a lot of that barking.

after looking again...it looked like the snake had a big chunk pulled out near the front. probably was too drained to strike.

When snakes strike they tend to latch and in many cases loose teeth, in this case meaning certain death. Snake was just scared to death and wanted to get away. I have had some snakes strike me with their mouth closed...not to bite but to try and scare off.
