2016 Election Results for President of the United States By Rank and Vote Count:

1 Donald Trump - 304 (winner)
2 Hillary Clinton - 227
3 Colin Powell - 3
4(tie) Bernie Sanders - 1
4(tie) Faith Spotted Eagle - 1
4(tie) John Kasich - 1
4(tie) Ron Paul -1

Will one of the supposed BGOL political experts explain how this is possible considering Hillary Clinton won the popular vote which seems to be the narrative of what really matters? Where is Gary Johnson and Jill Stein on the board?

Narratives, if you haven't caught on yet, aren't always the actual facts.

Usually, the popular vote is who wins the election. However, due to the fact that various states have larger populations & other states extremely smaller ones, you could play a null-sum type of game where you can eke a victory by winning a large number of smaller states & a few bigger ones.

Hence, Trump winning all those smaller states, all the medium states & only two major states. Although Clinton won the majority of people in the United States, she did not win the states needed to total a win.

Gary Johnson & Jill Stein had no effect on the race, so in turn, the electoral college probably gave their votes to Trump or Clinton (it depends on the states...certain states have certain rules).

good points. So how did Colin Powell finish 3rd and he wasn’t even running?

Is it because the Electoral College is the only vote that matters unlike what BGOL says, thinking their vote matters?

I guess the “your vote matters” crew finally got a taste of reality to see that their vote DOES NOT matter when it comes to selection of the President of the United States.

2020 = the year of truth and revelation

To be honest, no but somewhat yes....

I'll explain.

I said no because you still have to have the majority of votes from a state to win that state, no matter what. You cannot win a state without a majority of the votes. Once you've won that state, you've "won" the votes that state gets for the Electoral College.

But the yes comes into play because, honestly, the Electoral College is the vote that matters. And for the most part, you win a state, you "win" the votes. However, not every state has the same guidelines.

A few states actually divide up their votes according to a percentage of who won the state. So if a Democrat won 80% of the vote, a Republican with 10% & Joe Independent & other write-ins got the last 10%, the state (having a Electoral College vote of 10) could split the vote count so that Democrat gets 8, Republican gets 1 & the leftover vote getter gets the last 1.

Oh, but it gets even better. Let's say Joe Independent & the gang didn't qualify on the ballot for whatever reason the state says. What happens to that 10%? Some states have the rule that the winner gets the remainders, so it would go Democrat 9, Republican 1.

But wait? That's not it!!! Some states allow the representatives for the state's Electoral College votes to vote how they would want. So even though Democrat won the state by 80%, "technically" the representative can place that vote for the Republican or anyone else. It hasn't happened on a major scale but there have been a few that have done this.

One of the last two scenarios are probably what happened with Colin Powell & the rest.

As I've asked you before. When was the last time the electors did not vote the will of the people?

2016. I posted the results above. Most of the “faithless voters” went against Clinton. Why was that?

5 star post. Good to see a brotha on BGOL that actually understands the political voting system here. Much respect.

The only votes that matter. It appears less than 5 people on BGOL know this.

:smh:
Mr. all knowing why is my question so hard for you to answer?
Here's another complicated question for you. Can electors vote regardless of the people going to the polls to chose who they want for president?

Yes, they can. Already answered.
How can they vote if no one votes for president, since electors are only chosen after the people have voted?
Also you never provided an instance where the electors went against the will of the people and voted for someone else to be president.

 it is already in the OP. You can fight the truth all you want but you will go winless.

BUMP!

How did Colin Powell finish 3rd? How many popular votes did he get? Since BGOL thinks that matters?

So Trump is going to go with his original strategy. Win Key States.

Most people do not understand that this country is a collection of states.
These states really wanna do whatever the fuck they want to do as individual states.
In the South it is much for obvious.

What needs to happen is people need to move to red states and turn them purple then blue.

OP the short answer is because white folk control the narrative. And while they are at the top manipulating and controlling the narrative. We have agents running around causing distractions.

 the vote is not until December 14 and shut up? I shouldn’t have to say anything but the coons like you will definitely shut up. Why? Because you are pro-white and won’t say or do anything for so-called black empowerment.
