2 Georgia Women Caught Trying to Smuggle Weed, Drone and Contraband to Jail Inmates: Deputies

Two Georgia women are facing charges after authorities say they were trying to smuggle contraband to inmates at the DeKalb County Jail, reports said.

DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office deputies noticed a suspicious van parked in a visitor’s lot on Saturday, Atlanta television station WSB-TV reported. Deputies questioned the women and searched their van, where they reportedly discovered a trove of contraband.

The items included suspected marijuana, cell phone chargers, binoculars, rolling papers, earphones, a straight razor, tools, a battery pack, a drone and a bullhorn, per the station.

Kyrenda Carter, who was driving the van, is facing charges of felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, conspiracy to commit a felony, criminal trespass with an unlawful purpose, driving without a valid license, and giving a false name, address or birthdate to a law enforcement officer.
Porchae Wade, who was a passenger in the van, faces charges of felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, conspiracy to commit a felony and criminal trespass with an unlawful purpose.
