Like the man said, dogs are amazing. Dog even went around the second car to check for more oncoming traffic.

Had to look it up as to why this tactic helps to protect them from the freezing water.



Alligators survive freezing water by sticking their noses out of the ice, allowing them to breathe while in a state of brumation (a form of reptilian dormancy similar to hibernation). This "nose-out" tactic ensures they can access oxygen while their bodies are slowed down and less active during cold weather.
