Gonna be a fun card on Saturday night in Sacramento, CA. Always been a fan of the strong televised cards over the years. You know a card's legit too when even when they have to shuffle around fights due to cancellations via injuries (BROWN/CONDIT and THOMSON/PETTIS) the match-ups in place are still fun. Good representation from the local Team Alpha Male cats in Benavidez, Mendes, Faber, and Castillo ... reliable fighters like McDonald, Lauzon, Stout & others (cats that have often won bonus $ in past cards) ... bad blood from the first fight with Trujillo/Bowling, and of course a competitive first match-up between Johnson/Benavidez when they last fought September 22nd, 2012. Ya'll know those cats ... they've got cardio for days.

The weigh-ins get under way at the 09:42 for those who want to check them out (they took place Friday, Dec. 13th).

Still bummed about the Condit/Brown bout having to be scrapped due to injury. When Carlos Condit fights, I watch.
 
Aside from Castillo fighting Barboza, I think Team Alpha Male is gonna have a good night. I don't know if Benavidez is gonna win but I'm sure he's gonna put up a helluva fight.​

Ajax - Yeah ... Condit/Brown was supposed to lead off the main card. Too bad the injury happened so close to the fight card too, as they were unable to get Condit a replacement opponent in time. Sounds like they are trying to get Condit on the UFC 171 card, per the reports of the past day or two. That title match in a few months with Hendricks/Lawler should be interesting though.

Theo - Yeah - should be a good night for Bang Ludwig's crew. They've had a great 2013 on the whole ... and great to see how active people like Benavidez and Faber have been. Shit ... Benavidez always brings it too. The only cats he loses to are people like Cruz & Johnson ... and even then he isn't getting stopped and is going the distance with those types of cats. He hits hard for a little muthafucka too. Shit ... I really started to take notice of him when he had Miguel Torres' brain trying to leak out of his forehead after that sub stoppage years back in the WEC. That shit was MEAN, plehboi!

Outside of his guillotine, Cody is fucking terrible. This fool ain't got NO sponsors on his shorts, but he's got pockets...wtf.

Urijah is another disappointing fighter. Dude was the King in the WEC. Got in the UFC and basically stalled. Thought he'd be Champ by now.

He's been the #2 guy the whole time, he just can't beat Cruz and Barao who are great champs. He's still that dude as you can see though now lol.​
 
Faber is in a weird position. He can beat anyone in the div, but cant' beat the champs. However I feel he will give Dominick Cruz some problem on there 3rd go around. The striking gap at Team Alpha male has been fixed. I think he can cut cruz off and strangle him.
 
Urijah Faber is incredible in non title fight in The UFC!!!
