Should be a good night of fights on Saturday in Brazil. Keep an eye on guys like Silva (Anderson), Silva (Erick), Texeira, Brandao, and others on the card. The weigh-ins were earlier today. Haven't watched them yet (they air them here on ch. 675 - HD - PPV preview channel) on the westcoast, so gonna check those out in a bit. I'll link them for ya'll (online version) in this thread, amidst all the other linkage. Enjoy the fights, everyone. We're just over a month away from 154 (GSP / CONDIT). That'll be interesting too having last seen Georges in late-April 2011. I wanna see how he fares in there (Condit last fought in early-February 2012 in Vegas against Diaz). That said ... enjoy SILVA / BONNAR 153, and let's hope Stephan gives him a decent fight and doesn't get styled on in quick stoppage style :D

Bonnar has always been a favorite. I hope he doesn't get hurt badly. However, he has EVERYTHING to gain.

But Silva is the consumate professional.

thanks for this thread. Ready to watch both Silva's win

Yeah man. Big step up in competition for Erick Silva, but most of us think he's ready. He's a legit force at 170, and very young/hungry. Fitch is a tough fighter though (aside from that 12-second loss to Hendricks). GSP was saying recently that he can usually tell when an opponent breaks. FITCH was his toughest fight, and he never felt him break in their 25 mins back in August of 2008 (even though Georges was styling on him).

Because I like Bonnar, I hope he lasts at least a couple rounds before gettin knocked out.

He's never been knocked out or submitted. It's not likely to continue tonight but who knows maybe he'll be a punching bag that somehow survives the entire fight.

Main card in 4 minutes.

I started off the prelims SLOW, but have caught a rhythm now. Hopefully it'll continue into the main card.

Only fights that are really up in the air = NOGUEIRA/HERMAN (Noguiera coming back from injury). As well as FITCH/SILVA (Fitch got blasted in 12 seconds in December 2011, and has only fought twice in the past 1.5+ years now). Erick Silva's a serious talent and young upstart.

Maia is legit at 170 (2-0) with the previous quick stoppage of Dong Hyun Kim earlier this year. Smart move after dropping down from 185lbs. He fought Anderson Silva there back in April 2010, if I remember correctly.
