so say i want to see a vid on youtube, what would i use to type in the address and search field? not the remote i hope.
 
I would wait I belive the newest one that is gonna come out has wifi...and I'm not sure but it might even support netflix
 
Get a PS3 (or xbox) and you won't even need this. You can stream video directly from your computer to your television. the video isn't choppy, doesn't stutter and when you're done you can even play some games.

I used to burn DVDs and have to take the DVDs from the computer to the DVD player.

I used to use an Archos and had to drop movies on it and take it over to the TV.

Now I have a PS3 and I don't have to do shit.

I dont play video games anymore

why would I wanna spend an extra 200 dollars for a ps3
 
I like it so far.

The main reason I bought the live is for DTS downmix & ntfs support. So you can watch all the mkv bluray dts rips without a dts reciever.

I'm moving 200gb of movies to an external 2.5in drive so a friend can watch it on her Live.

Its supports more media formats and filesystems than the ps3 and xbox360. The popcorn hour does a few things the live can't do but it cost more than twice as much.

Look for the 3rd part firmware support too. WD has a large active community looking at ways to expand and customize the media player.

I'm definitely satisfied with my live, the only issue i'm having is to purchase a seperate adapter device to use the wifi feature. I personally have one of my computers hooked up next to my hdtv in my living room (The set up is nice by the way) and whenever needed i'd disconnect my cable modem from my computer and insert the ethernet cable into the live, and there i go with internet access. I have two hard drives hooked up to my live as well. I'm still a newbie to this device as i hear you can modify this system, but the shit seems toooooo complicated.

because it does so much more. Internet browser, blu ray, music and yes...games.....

I feel you doc
