Next Day Air - Mo Review

Good to see you're still maintaining your blog. You should look into promoting and profiting from it.

On another note, TaylrMayd is jacking your reviews and posting it on his website? Are you cool with that?
He asked me first. Its all good.

It might have been done a little better. Like they could've stretched out that montage scene, but I enjoyed this movie. Thumbs up

and no pics of Yasmin Deliz on this board is a travesty

Yea that chic is cute. It was a good flick. Seemed a bit rush IMO. I think they could've added 10-15 more minutes to make the film more complete. Does have a Guy Ritchie feel to it.

I actually thought this movie was hella funny. Mo is dead on about the lack of direction though. I viewed it as a black comedy, but it was something about it that I couldn't pin point and I guess that was the different directions the film was being pulled in.
Too much time was spent on irrelevent scenes and that time could have been better spent developing the story and it's characters. If I had paid to go see it I wouldn't have been mad. But it definitely could have been tighter.

Yea it was entertaining. I would've paid to see it too. But it could've been so much better and when you compare it to Guy Ritchie's shit? Its a lot like his shit but without the character development. And this didn't bother me but how we go from this funny ass comedy to this massacre at the end of the flick lol? I liked it though. It was Benny Boom's first flick. He'll get better with more films. And I guess Mos was just in there for his name to be headliner because that cat was in a cameo role. He should've had way more lines in this shit.

That has everything to do with budget. I guarantee you Ritchie has a bottomless pit of capital compared to this guy. Judging from the abrupt ending they might've actually run out of money before completing it. Up until then it was entertaining though

Well you're right about the budgets. Next Day Air had a 3 million dollar budget while Ritchie's latest film Rock N Rolla had a 18 million dollar budget. But I think Next Day Air could;'ve spent less time on some of those bullshit flashback scenes and added character development there. I think they were meant to develop the characters but didn't do a good job of it.

They lost me because they advertised it as a comedy but it really wasn't. To me the chic was the funniest one on there, her aarguing with her bf and when she slapped Mos Def :lol:. Why does Eddie Winslow use that stupid fake thug voice, he used it in another TV movie i saw him in and i'm thinking i kow that nigga voice does not sound like that. In the end the movie left like :confused::confused:

Yea I think he used it in that movie where he was a garbage man singing and shit. Its funny. I had to suspend belief like a muthafucka with Eddie Winslow. I think it was a comedy. It was funny until the last scene of the movie. Hell even Mike Epps was funny right before he died lol. It took the genre DARK COMEDY serious.

The whole time, I'm thinking the cat on the couch was gonna play some sort of pivotal role and he ain't do shit but sign for the package.

And how da fuck you in the bathroom through all that shit?

I'm over half way through with movie and it ain't that bad so far, it ain't no Friday or nothing, but at least it had potential.

Was that Lacey Duvall in the movie and Cali from Vh1?

I do agree though, it's like Benny told Mike to be a gangsta Day-Day and told Wood to be Avon Barksdale.

That shit was too funny in the beginning to be so dramatic at the end. It went from "All About The Benjamins" to "Pulp Fiction" to "Scarface"

If you can get it for free, check it out, I wouldn't have paid for it.
