LOL ...if i post my stash this whole room get dark!

Vinyl is making a quiet comeback. And up until a few days ago, I didn't fully understand why vinyl was so much better than cd's.
Vinyl has two things going for it, dynamic range and depth. Cd's are a good medium, it's just how it's utilized these days that make them so bad in terms of sound quality. With dynamic range, vinyl recordings preserve the dynamics of a song, without over- compression of the transients, which results in a waveform that looks like a brick and sounds unnatural. Also, cd's, when mastered to be loud (rms -11db and above), lose some depth due to digital distortion, which results in an unnatural sound.
So if you care about sound quality, vinyl, over sacd's and dvd-a's is still considered a no.1 choice. And they are considered collector's items.
Long live the vinyl!

Nah dude, get ahold of 200 gram vinyl. It will change your life.
Vinyl is only good for Nostalgic reasons. Other then that, I'm about to drop these crates off at the Thrift store.
Admit it, you just like that Crackle Sound.

I have a large vinyl collection and as long as you buy quality used records and take good care with cleaning them you won't hear that snap ,crackle & pop sound.
You also need to have quality High End equipment(speakers,turntable..etc) to get the best sound out of your records...
A few sites you can look at to see what i'm talking about are..
1.www.audioadvisor.com
2.www.needledoctor.com
also a good place to find records that are excellent shape is www.flipmall.com
