It's your money so buy what you want. Personally, I dropped apple the minute I found out my first EVO could be rooted and wasn't proprietary. And I wasn't getting nickel-and-dimed for every damn peripheral. That was decades ago.

I have never heard a grown man iPhone user say anything about text bubbles in the real world. I have no clue what type of men you are around where they bring it up. But the only people that used to say anything about them to me were women & children.

If you want to say I moved the goal post because I wasn't explicit about where I was talking about, cool. That's a interpretation issue. I didn't make a comment on social media. It was directed to the people here. Old men who can't be happy with their phone purchase unless they shit on the competition.

The only people on BGOL keeping the Android vs. Apple debate alive are Android users. When Apple announces a new product, & someone opens a thread about it, you get a wave of Android users immediately posting how Apple products suck. How expensive they are. How they don't "do" anything that the Android equivalent does. How that feature has been available forever on an Android equivalent. And how much of sheep Apple users are. To me it's childish. But if it improves the self-esteem of an Android user, I guess it's justified. The aforementioned paragraph is specific to this forum.

Do you have any recent examples of iPhone users either creating an Android sucks thread here or taking an Android thread & converting it into an Apple is the best thing ever thread? I'm married. I have a cheap Android. Wife has an iPhone. She don't give a fuck what I own. Before I retired, I was issued an iPhone for work. Hated that shit but it was free. Fam's comments below are true. On BGOL, new iPhone threads are magnets for Apple haters. You get more of that in those threads than pro-iPhone or neutral comments. By contrast, Samsung/Android threads tend to be empty of haters from the Apple side. That disparity is indisputable.

The real world? Generally speaking, the people I encounter and interact with don't care one way or other about what phone the other person has. You like what you like.

I don't keep track of every phone thread or go into everyone but I do know historically there were specific individuals that would go out their way to insult android users, so once one side comes with the bullshit don't be mad when the other side reacts and keeps going.. You seemed to get mad at the person who reacts and not the person who was the bully for yrs.. If you picked on somebody for yrs and than that person starts kicking your ass, you don't have any say when they should stop.. Don't start nothing won't be nothing.. Told you this is just yrs of shittalking from one side getting its payback.. This seems to bother you though.. You can easily avoid the thread, not respond, go on with your life, not care.. this is kida long, but...

i was android for the loooongest, bought the first oneplus and stuck with them for a while. great phone. i couldn't understand why people wanted to pay for shit i could get for free (music, games, etc). i used to be on divine broke ass about his apple stanning.

then i started doing some consulting for a law firm, and when a bunch of attorney friends put me in the group chat the shit turned green. niggas roasted the shit outta me. i was on and on about how much of a better spec'd phone than theirs i had. my shit smoked theirs on paper.

we went on a trip to and the homie went to the aquarium to dive with the sharks. he sent a video, everybody phone went off at the same time but mine. i was like wth. i watched the video on their phones, real cool shit. minutes later mine went off, and not only did it take longer to get to me, but it looked like shit. same video.

i realized that people who made fun of android pic/video quality did so because anything they got through sms from an android user got compressed to hell and looked like garbage. imessage was the magic sauce, because it's a native data messaging platform. people in the states don't be on all them 3rd party apps, they just wanna open up their texts and get full functionality. android people had to, and presumably still have to, to an extent, send you shit on whatsapp or some other platform people may or may not have to get the quality built into imessage.

ngl, now i understand and wouldn't go back. i was philosophically against paying for anything digital because i been a lifelong pirate. true bgol shit. now i pay a lil a month for some stuff, i don't even notice the money and i love the convenience and ease of seamless services. it is what it is i guess.
