Yeah I give you that. 99 is way too late, thats basically 2000. Dude must be from AfricaNa more like 88 and up.
Flat top had to be crisp designs parts n all, i dunno where yall was going 95-99 with no crisp lines

Hold up why is Kanes line up sharper and even than the barber's
Nah
Cause these were all the heartthrobs back then
Damn. I never knew this was a thing.

Also, celebrities can get away with wearing weird shit but a regular dude wearing the same shit would've gotten roasted to death.Nigs got a pic of mj that was probably taken b4 87 and acting like that was the 90s smh.. mj was rocking complete baldy by like 89/90… nigs would get roasted on their hairlines being fucked up in the 80s.. I hate when people post picks of celebs like they represented the average nig.. no nig in the street dressed like cameo with hooker boots and fucking metal speedos but somehow somebody will be like this is how nigs were dressing in the 80s nah nig we didnt
This is my explanation for Prince.. nigs won’t point out the obvious with prince but than I go if your mailman showed up in a prince outfit but had a bad bitch on his side would you also think he was straight.. nobody never wants to answer that or they know what they really want to sayAlso, celebrities can get away with wearing weird shit but a regular dude wearing the same shit would've gotten roasted to death.
Yeah. people questioned prince sexuality for years when he had bad bitches in his arm constantly. So, they would give prince a pass. This is my explanation for Prince.. nigs won’t point out the obvious with prince but than I go if your mailman showed up in a prince outfit but had a bad bitch on his side would you also think he was straight.. nobody never wants to answer that or they know what they really want to say
I probably cut the high top off and started going blade fade around 93 when enter middle school so that sounds about right.99? Nah more like 94-95, cause thats when the short fades with a crisp line up was necessary
Nice!! I will never get to this level.
Nice!! I will never get to this level.
It takes dedication and practice to get to that level. Salute to that brotha showing others he can get that same clean cut and beard trim professionally doing it yourself compared to what these barbers be overcharging people for that same cut and beard trim because they got a fancy shop and high price furniture.
Yeah, it's gonna take time until you finally get good with them clippers unless you went to barber school which would speed things up not having to go through trial and error.Agreed.
Just last month, I gave myself a big ass patch near the back of my head. Patience and practice.
Oh, well. Haha.
Yeah, covid got these barbers thinking they can get rich overcharging people for a haircut which is why they don't be having a lot of clients because nobody is trying to be paying that price every week for a haircut.Right before covid....I was paying $15.
Then went back to cutting my own hair.
Now I'm hearing and seeing the average cost in most places around here in my area is $40-$50.
Talk about inflation.....damn.
yeah i went to my barber once a week. my hair grows too fuckin fast.Yeah, covid got these barbers thinking they can get rich overcharging people for a haircut which is why they don't be having a lot of clients because nobody is trying to be paying that price every week for a haircut.
They will only drop them prices temporarily before they bring the prices back up again charging more once the gov't shutdown is over.yeah i went to my barber once a week. my hair grows too fuckin fast.
Lord knows how much money i've saved by just going back to cutting my hair myself.
i wont be surprised if the price drops during this govt shutdown.
People gonna start prioritizing shit, and one of the first things to go, is money for the barber.
Damn, I just realized I damn sure was paying $18 right before covid, but I had just put it down to me being in a small town at the time. I remember dude raised his price to $20 during covid, but I wasn't tripping. Can't get shit less than $35 these days it's crazy out here.Right before covid....I was paying $15.

Don’t try to remove as much as with each pass. Clipper angle is as important as blade gapping. Starting out, just focus on getting it down and even. Comb your hair ass often possible with each pass or so of the clippers. As you start working on fades/blends that’s more cutting upward, that’s when you don’t want full contact; instead, tilt the clippers and use half the blade as you cut, and focus on an inch or so of hair. To taper your sides, start as low as possible, that way if your fuck up, you can just taper it a little higher. Comb and pass whether you’re cutting up or down, that moves the hair in place to the blades can hit. I’ve been cutting my own for decades so I’m a master as the shit now.Agreed.

Also, trim it twice a week instead of waiting til you NEED to cut it. That’ll give you more clipper time. I cut mine twice a week, or at the least, I tighten the back and sides. If you fuck around and do a sick fade, the muscle memory is still there versus a week or so ago.Gem.
I just discovered that wrapping a rubber band around your head acts as a great guide/line to follow for an even shape-up and fade.
As I mentioned, patience and practice lead to progress.

Thanks.....Fuck Besos. I don’t use Amazon but find one of these. They’re usually around $30-40. eBay might be cheaper. Game changer.
