There still are black Mormons, and not just in the US. Keep in mind this is a football team of about 80-90 kids. It's not far fetched to think most are Mormons. Im saying who would want to go to BYU if you not?

Historically the football team has been about 90% Mormon.
They might have more black players now, but it's still more likely then not that the black players are also Mormon.
Because I'm betting black parents aren't sending their kids to a BYU if they have ANY other options.

Apparently there are Black Mormons out there, and that's truly puzzling. But there are.
I didn't dig deep enough to find out the religion of all of the players, but their starting QB is Jewish and more than half of the players have went on Mormon missions.

I just want to add, it ain't just about black parents sending their kids there. It's also about who BYU is offering. They clearly offer mormons as a rule and non-mormons as the exception.
