Obama says 'institutional constraints' kept him from commenting on killings of Black Americans

I think it's the guilt of knowing but then playing the game but then seeing trump do what he wanted for 4 years and realizing he had that power and didn't use it and will never be able to have that again.

I don't even think it's the guilt. The game hasn't changed. Biden can't do the shit Trump did. Trump was a one of one. You put a rapist in a room with women and he's going to rape. Trump was put into office to rape. He campaigned on it.

Obama wouldn't have gotten any more done legislatively.

He just knows he should have SAID more while he had the bully pulpit.

Even Biden said that one of Obama's biggest flaws is that he didn't really care about using the media to his advantage and that he wasn't going to make the same mistake.

I mean he had no qualms telling us lol
None

Yeah. And I feel like he was like.. Ok.. let's talk... but you can't do that if you aren't also flaming white folks for their shit. You can keep it 100 with us but you can't do that shit and not keep it 100 with white folks.. if you don't keep it 100 with them, it's just parroting their talking points without context.

It's really simple and you guys are giving him alot of credit when he doesn't deserve it. He serves whitey

Right and I'm not mad at him not getting legislative things done I understand how tied his hands were

I wish he pressed harder though

And shit you can say some shit even if you can't pass it

Trump did it for 4 years lol
He didn't get shit done but tax stuff for the rich

Exactly, the election of Obama shook them to their soul. They don't want change, hell they argue against electric cars, 5g and solar energy

That shit was unfathomable to them.... that with all the white supremacy in place that a non-white man could actually become POTUS. To them, it was a failure of the entire system that it even happened. Trump felt it.. that's why he was on some.. I'm gonna stop the mexican rapists, BLM, etc... that nigga was pretty much running around the country doing Klan rallies

It is not about offending whites. You have to have some type of strategy. Do yall actually feel good about being the loudest person in the room? is it about winning or being heard?

But we aren't the loudest in the room lol
You are that's why things are the way they are

This great strategy of playing the game for increments over the past 40 years have really worked out politically

Verbal constraints I get, but his lack of policy changes were my issues with the Obama, especially in his 1st two years. He was outfoxed by McConnell and never really forced Pelosi to pull her weight. Tough ride, glad it was him over Clinton though.

I didn’t even waste my time reading it because I knew the BLUE hat MAGAs would defend him like the RED hats defended Trump.

all I can say is I’m glad more of our people woke up so they don’t carry on his facade of a legacy.
Hell even OBAMA is calling HIMSELF out these days, and they STILL defending him or moving the goal post
o_O

Just wow!

You what the real problem is? He actually does believe whites as a group can be "good". That's his fatal flaw. Whites as a group only care about protecting white supremacy. That's it. They'll sacrifice even themselves for it.

That's why he never saw Trump coming... until it was too late (two weeks left).

He didn't think whites were capable of voting that idiot in... that's why he was even joking about it on Late-Night TV. He even talked about "not understanding the country" when the election was over and doing some soul-searching. "HE TRUSTED THEM"
See.. i always went back and forth on this. Whether he essentially believed in the best of white folk or if he simply knew the worst about them. Still not decided. But based on the cherrypicked and calculated information and quotes hes letting "leak" out lately, im leaning toward the latter. Either way tho, both are equally offensive and inexcusable based on a bottomline analysis of what he didnt get done in 8 years.

I do think Obama had a blind spot where he thought it was the system and not all the people. Trump winning was a reality check for him.. that's while. I think he really believed that the country couldn't be THAT bad because he won. Trump winning fucked his world up. People close to him said Trump winning really fucked his world up. He didn't really think Trump was capable of winning.... he really didn't.. until two weeks left and then he was out there campaigning harder than Hillary.

I do think he underestimated how terrible whites still are.

Which is wild to me as he was a community organizer in Chicago.

I believe you and your opinion I think that's accurate
I don't understand how you can view things like that considering all he saw

When I realized what happened.... when the story came out and read more about his thoughts post-election... I was like.. how could this muthafucka be running the country and not see it. I get how we all missed it until it was too late ... because I didn't think the muthafucka could win either.... but it shows you that even him being POTUS he was fucking BLIND to a lot of the country he was running.

He thought Hillary was just a bad candidate. He didn't realize that Trump was selling with whites wanted.

Bills is not about playing the game. It is about having support and people willing to stand next to you. Who was going to stand next to Obama? A racist republican congress?

Yeah. I remember when it became clear... I was like.. yo... it's excusable for us, but he should have fucking better understand the country he was running. Like I said, I don't think he got it until the last two weeks and he was scrambling like a muthafucka like he was actually running for a third term.

Listen man, whites loved with Trump was selling. If not for Covid, I firmly believe he would have won re-election easily... but the covid shit just made him intolerable.. i mean he didn't even want to do the work at all

I don't think either makes a difference in terms of what he would have gotten done legislatively.

However, the POTUS putting certain things on the historical record would have made a difference in the future.

For instance, he knew reparations would never have been passed.. especially with him as potus. However, he should have said that America absolutely needs to do it. He was always in the weeds of the policy or the fact that there weren't votes for it. But you should have made the fucking MORAL argument for it.. especially in your second term. He could have said.. I won't be able to do it.. maybe the next POTUS won't be able to do it either. But American is obligated to pay reparations. If a black POTUS can't say it, we're fucked. He couldn't get it passed, but he should have made the fucking argument to the country.

Now you got CACs not even wanting racism to be taught in school at all.

Obama wanted to do his job well but he also did miss the opportunity to really use the bully pulpit as a black man. You're the POTUS and you do have institutional constraints, but you're the first BLACK potus on a racist ass country. You can't miss your opportunity to point out the evil nature of the system.

Now he understands he missed the moment. Writing about it in books won't even meant shit compared to what it could have meant with him saying it as potus.. even though it would not have changed anything legilslatively.

You can, but the objective is to win the war not one battle.
They just want to run their mouth just to say "I told them white folks" only to have everything they worked for destroyed in an instance. Obama was never going to win that battle because he had zero support. No one was going to stand next to Obama in that fight.

It would have been a layup for whites to destroy Obama.

The poling said Hillary would win. I worked with a bunch of these cacs and they kept real quiet about voting for Trump. They voted for white supremacy. Point blank period. They just kept it hidden until he won. Then they brought out the torches.

We winning

They did destroy him in the media and elected the antithesis to him simply because he was white

Did you go to jail in 2016?

Why??? Because he didn't advocate killing whitey at every opportunity. I suggest you google Obama administration accomplishments and perhaps you "liking him less and less" will result in you liking him "more and more:.

But as long as we don't tell them they're racist

If Obama had just used the bully pulpit to call it out. Imagine how many different types of black people would just be running for office now at every level. Like Trump's rhetoric got all them crazy ass crackas in office now like Greene. Now that shit might burn the GOP down but maybe it won't. That's why it was never fully about "getting more done". He wasn't going to get more laws passed.. congress wasn't having it. But he has no movement now. Trump got that CACs laying down blood for his CAC movement. Rhetoric matters.

Exactly.

Do you think you can change a racist by not telling them they're racist?

Eventually they'll see he's one of the good ones?
Did that happen?
They don't care about any of that. Racism is all about control. You control people by limiting their power and wealth. Racism would stop the day blacks stop depending on whites.

If all the blacks left and went to African to form a modern day Wakanda, Crackas would be bombing it tomorrow in order to stay in power.

I mean, comey and all that played a role too... but the way he burned down the GOP to get the nomination should have had everyone taking him more seriously regardless of the polling. Clearly, he was selling what CAC wanted to buy.

We ain't winning either so how are the objectives working out?

Because if you want the absolute truth above hyperbole

In order to actually have change
White ppl need to be offended uncomfortable and accountable

Anything else and it's nothing.

I have no problem with offending white people or making them uncomfortable but when engaged with an enemy possessing an arsenal more powerful than yours it becomes a matter of tactics if you expect to win. Don't misunderstand, I am by no means a "turn the other cheek" type individual. I am more the type that believes in employing tactics that will have the enemy saying "how did that happen"?

I mean I'm really fully appreciating that just now because Trump's grip on the GOP is strong. But I just like to follow politics... Obama was the fucking POTUS.. He should have seen what was coming and obviously he didn't.. I feel like he was just as clueless as the rest of us until we all figured out it was possible just like he did.. when it was too close for comfort at the end.. swing states within the margin of error.

I'm not reading any solutions
Was there one in there or any of your posts that I missed?
