He's really not fam. Sure he has faults... for one thing he's continuing this trend of geriatric white candidates... I'm tired of that shit. For another he misfired on his "identity politics" quote like a typical CAC (although it's very clear to me he's a decent, actively non-racist person)... the fantasy of "id pol" can only be wrested from the imagination of white people who don't understand that their whiteness is inherently political as a social/institutional "norm" and he needs to do better there.
On the reparations thing, acknowledging how politically untenable reparations are in this climate doesn't make one racist... we'd have to pretend Obama was racist in that case as he made the same argument when he ran.
Beyond that dude is very clearly the leader of this Dem field in the early innings and he has outstanding policy positions. I like a few other candidates and time will tell how this all shakes out but the anti Bernie arguments around here aren't very compelling imo
