I cruise Carnival out of Galveston. We don't have these problems. The people that cruise from other places tell me that Galveston is the BEST port to cruise out of because the people are so laid back and cool. I have never even came close to a fight on a cruise. In fact, it was mostly women and gay dudes on most of my cruises, so I was cleaning UP. Once they find out that you are single and straight, the it is ON.
Who the fuck gets into fights on fucking vacation? I've been on Carnival, RCL, and Norwiegien...Carnival does have at times that type of BS, but I've still been able to enjoy them all.
Just an FYI tho, it's another reason for some to get a balcony, then you can get away from some of that shit without feeling like you are in an enclosed closet like many inside rooms can feel like.

I don't prefer Carnival to cruise with but if I have to I'd try my best to avoid what's called the "Fun" ships. Those are usually the cheaper cruises, which you'll see every and anyone taking tons of kids and you get the riff raff.
I prefer Royal Caribbean. The staff and service all are far better.
