Why isn't there more outrage about the racisim in Dominican Republic and its laws

Subconsciously, I think we don’t want to end up like the Natives. A strong majority of us tuck our heads and cross the street when white peoples are in our neighborhood.

We don't live in the Dominican Republic. We live in America. We have racism here that needs to be fixed before we can worry about racism in DR. We all know they discriminate against Haitians and pretend like they're not black, but white America will remind them that they're also inferior when they get here.

We have our own issues in our own country to be worried about somewhere else. Personally Ive been to the DR several times and never experienced any issues....Italy and Spain are the only places I've experienced racism while traveling

Yeah I didn't learn about a lot of things about their racism until AFTER I got back from DR many years ago. I won't be back.

I don't think it's about "us" experiencing their racism as much as how they are treating our fellow brothers and sisters.

why isnt there more outrage? The simple answer is that people dont give a damn.....its a DR Haiti problem! Way to many issues here in "Merica" to focus on before even thinking about social issues abroad!
I see people posting how they slept on the issue or didn't know..there have been long threads about it especially when DR started expelling Haitians who have lived there for decades if they didn't have the right paperwork. ..

I forgot who first told me this but they said you have to take care of your own backyard before you can fix the block. Otherwise you look like a hypocrite.
I have hated thee racist laws and actions I read about in the DR since I've learned of it. But can Black America really cry outrage when we can't stop ourselves from being killed? Or making Haiti a place where people want to stay instead of crossing into the DR? If we can get a grasp on those two then actively pursing the injustice in the DR can become a thing.
