I'm tripping on is why do u niggas feel obligated to tell us y'all rent is high when I can go look at a apt in chicago that's high as shit also

Y'all rent money is better than everybody else rent money?

It's because Chicago, Atlanta, LA, and anywhere else you want to name is not New York City... that's why!

they edited this bad. could have been funnier. def factual. I will never understand why a NY person wouldnt want to have a nice big piece of land. Cuz of the "vibe"?

Some people just like the city life that NYC offers, it's really to each as own. Some like it and some don't. Just like some people that live down south hates it cause it's too slow.

I'm not getting it

Are u niggas getting section 8?

So everybody in a building is paying out the ass for a small ass room?

a lot of folks are paying way above what their apartment is worth, because of demand to live in a certain area...

some areas like the upper east side have rental apts going for ten to 12 thousand dollars a month...

NY ain't that goddamn interesting to be paying all that money to literally live in a box or have a great career but still got roommates.
Shit if you want the nightlife so bad go up there on a Friday and stay all weekend then take your ass home where rent is affordable....

True. I thought the ending was dope because it almost had like a content, but sad feeling at the end. Homie could do well in theater.

Ya'll some gullible uneducated people.
I live in NYC you can certainly live in a decent spot without paying outrageous amounts of rent.
Especially if you DON'T make that much money. All these New luxury buildings and EVEN in TRUMP CITY (upper west side)
By LAW they have to allocate a certain amount of apartments for low income housing.
All these Cacs and idiots moving from other states get JIPPED by moving to Washington Heights and paying 3k
a month for an apartment that was getting $500 a month from the family BEFORE them.
Stop believing TV and websites and old wives tales....Hahaha You CAN find an apartment for a reasonable rate
Yes it will be more than if you lived in FagLanta but last I checked this is the biggest city in America

This is true, but don't forget all the shit they ask for up front. Security, first month, last month, pay for credit check.

Not EVERY Place...Hahaha SOME places do

So your saying move to the lower income areas and pay the "fair" rent? I lived in Canarsie next to Brookline and it was almost 3k a month for the 2 bed super small apartment....in 1999. My GF lives in Bed stuy now. The not gentrified part and pays 2100 for a almost studio. I understand the hustle at first but for your whole life....nah. Get that money and go live a warm healthy life. Thats my question...why
