BGOL vet down since the “56k stay out!” days

havent seen one started; if there is one I'll delete this one.

My quandary this morning; I'm weak at TE but my only options are Zach Miller (Bears vs Houston) or Jared Cook (GB vs Jax).

Cook seems like he could have a breakout year in GB but he's still their #2 TE as of now. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Still can't find a week to week general fantasy thread so I'm bumping this one.

Week 2 question:

Should I drop Marcus Wheaton and pick up Nelson Agholar as a bench stash?

I would pick Eli between the two. He has better weapons and he will start all season barring any injuries, but if you need a QB to fill a bye, then maybe Dak, if you are a fan.

Cosign. Eli will go buck wild once or twice a season with a 5TD or 6 TD game. How many quarters did it take Dak to throw his first TD?

Cosign. That is my concern about Dak. Plus, he may be without Dez, so either they ground and pound, which will affect his passing game or he will have to rely on C.B, T.W. and J.W. which could be a disaster, depending on the match up. But, in all..

Dak is a good temporary fix or someone who can get you through some games, but if Tony Romo gets healthy, then what? We know that Eli goes Eli, but like you said, he also have his moments where he puts up good points.

Terrell Pryor and Julian Eldimen probably put up huge numbers this week.

I'd pick Eli but Dak should've had far more TD's than just 1. He had dudes either catches balls on the 1 yard line or dropping touchdowns. HE should have at least 4 by now.

I am not saying that it is his fault. But it is what it is.

The GB backfield is a mess. Many FF waivers will be processed tonight and Davis might not be the one to get.

Davis is the only healthy running back on the Packers' 53-man roster

Following the loss of Eddie Lacy (ankle) for "several" weeks, newly-acquired Knile Davis is the only healthy running back on the Packers' 53-man roster.

Davis was acquired from the Chiefs on Tuesday morning. He fell out of favor in Kansas City and has been one of the least efficient backs in the league since coming into it as a 2013 third-rounder. We don't expect him to know enough of the offense to come in and dominate carries. Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery played some running back in college, and both saw backfield snaps last week. Montgomery drew three carries and 12 targets. Davis should be stashed in 12-team leagues, but Montgomery is the preferred play for Week 7. If Lacy goes to I.R., practice squad RB Don Jackson will likely get a promotion.

Eddie Lacy - RB - Packers
Eddie Lacy is in North Carolina visiting Dr. Robert Anderson for a second opinion on his ankle injury.

Anderson is the doctor all players go to for foot or ankle issues, and those visits likely lead to surgeries. Lacy is expected to miss "several" weeks. We should have a more definitive timetable in the coming days.

Ty Montgomery - WR - Packers
Ty Montgomery saw eight targets and three carries out of the backfield Week 6 against the Cowboys.

With the news that Eddie Lacy (ankle) will miss "several" weeks and James Starks (knee) already out at least four weeks after surgery, the Packers' backfield is a mess. Knile Davis was acquired from the Chiefs on Tuesday and is the only "running back" on the 53-man roster. He doesn't know the offense, and Montgomery's usage last week suggests he could be in line for plenty of backfield work Thursday night. He needs to be added immediately in 12-team leagues.

Eddie Lacy - RB - Packers
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Eddie Lacy has "more than a sprained ankle" and is expected to miss "several" weeks.

Some are now expecting Ty Montgomery to get a ton of backfield work Thursday night against the Bears. Randall Cobb may also get some play behind Aaron Rodgers, while newly-acquired Knile Davis will also be in the mix. Expect RB Don Jackson to get a promotion from the practice squad. Montgomery is worth firing up as a WR3 after seeing 12 targets and three carries last week.
