Vermont, New Hampshire, Wyoming, Montana, The Dakotas, Idaho, Maine, etc. aren't known for having a lot of black people there. I was curious to know if any BGOL members live or lived in any of those states?

rolled through nh once. it was cool. i liked seeing how you could tell that they were at the beginning of a season change. anybody from la know what i'm talking about. winter oftentimes looks like summer out here. spring and fall may as well be the same. u don't really get to see seasons change on the west coast. oh, and the people in nh were nice. they could've been like :D then like 'fukin darkie ' after i left but while i was there in front of um it was all love

i didn't see a whole lot of brothers or sisters out there though.

in state of wyoming you can feel the racism......they dont have to pretend by smiling at you or acting like everything is good in which some do....you can just feel the shere racism there,if you have a gut instinct,it will tell you that if you are in the presense of wyoming state people.

Been to vt and nh, can't say I noticed anything out of the ordinary in those too. Thought I have heard there are some rednecks in New Hampshire, I didn't see it. Then again I was in a city, there's always a sprinkling of minorities in a city. Shit starts to get wild when you move away from any city, rule of thumb the farther you are away from a large city, spend as little time there as possible.

I have been to all of the New England states....

Maine and Vermont seem cool...had good vibes there, not so in New Hampshire.

I know a couple of black folks that live there, but I don't care to visit...

my son played ball at the university of Wyoming and i visited many times..

never felt the overt racism you speak of...white folx fell over themselves trying to be decent.

and I have met black people who played ball there back in the day and ended up staying there..

I was stationed at Grand Forks AFB, in North Dakota...

At our incoming orientation, we were told there were 1,000 blacks in the area... 900 were on the base...

Yep, they didn't see a lot of black folk up there. When we went downtown to the mall, we had a lot of stares from the locals.

Overall, thats the reason I decided to finish my enlistment. That was the fastest way for me to get out of there...

Too damn cold during the winter. 80 below zero wind chill ain't no joke...White boys would ride snowmobiles to work... so damned cold, if you didn't dress appropriately for the weather, you would get frostbite...

brrrr...... just thinkin about it..

as far as racism, no different than any other place where you don't routinely see people of a different race

Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine,
People-Towns have been there since 1600.
Everyone Knows each other, Everyone went to school together, Everyone is kinda almost related to each other.
No matter which town you show up in, Soon you will understand that Six family's own everything.
Since you did not goto school there, You are not from there and will Never be accepted as one of them.
They will smile in your face and say you are doing a wonderful job. but behind your back they will talk about when you scratched your arm or how long you went to the bathroom.
If you can stick it out after six months or more people will start Talking to you and get to know you.

Be very careful, Cause Nobody will have you back about even the least tiniest bullshit to comeup

You will notice that the people that speak to you are those that are not really from there like yourself

Funny ish is that Paul Ryan won his district but, together with Romney, lost the state to Obama.

I've heard that upper Maine & lower Maine are like two different coutries, upper Maine is akin to Alaska in terms of wilderness & how remote certain parts are.

I've been lucky enough to where my bass has taken me to 48 of the 50 states. When I played the Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho I saw no black people. When we played Iowa, I saw a few. There's a military bass there, so there were a few of us.

Seattle and Minneapolis are the PAWG capitals of the United States.

I know that has shit to do with the topic, but I know you'll file that bit of unsolicited information away, regardless.

I've been to all 50 states and I can say I've had the most stares in Idaho, North Dakota and southern Missouri. Everywhere else people kept to themselves with no reaction to a 6'4", bald black man.

I see the people playing football for them or b ball and wonder how you convince a brother to play four years of his life in some of these spots, but real talk I want to goto Maine to get some lobster, I could believe what the op saying about you are either in the foldin new England or your out and it's cold when your out

never been to MN, but i lived in seattle for a short spell.

and you're 100% correct. the white and asian women were VERY aggressive & flirtatious.

 yes, Max got a lot of pussy. :D

Seattle got bad Asian hoes. I had a Korean jump off out there who lived in the central district. Bitch looked mad foreign like she was strait from Seoul but she spoke like a black bitch. Shit was annoying but damn she was fine and she would get any shape I wanted waxed into her pussy hair. Even a flying sauser with an alien arm out the top. I miss that sexy yobo.

My brother-in-law was stationed in North Dakota. He said the Native Americans were treated like ninjas there.

dude that is Wisconsin not Wyoming

Obama spoke at the University but didn't win the state

I see more and more black folks when I pass by Vermont, I am still always surprised but there is an increase compared to like 10-15 years ago.

Did some work out in iowa. Me and my friend went to the Walmart and was like we were ghost. The looks were crazy. Nobody was racist to us per say but defiantly felt like we were outsiders.

Storm was coming so we went to Walmart saw a brother we talked to him for 30 min like we grew up together lol.

Went to 3 cities there and saw maybe 10 black people. I was younger and now I would have explored and been a little more talkative to see the pulse of the people.

Was COLD as shit. Messed up my J-30 it was never the same.... electrical went nuts.

Was in upper Michigan in a town called Ironwood. Not far from Wisconsin or Minnesota. If you driving too fast and blink you might miss it. You can see Canada from across the lake.

We in the store and white folks see us a few black people and everyone would stare at us crazy, look over their shoulder like they never seen us before. One of them cacs even got the balls enough to approach the girl I was with and ask her if she was going to be dancing at their local strip club. I didn't think that bum ass town had a strip club. They thought I was a pimp and a drug dealer from Detroit bringing my hoe on tour. :smh: Mind you we weren't dressed any fancy way at all. Just regular clothes. Mostly covered up because all it does is snow out that bitch.

The few black people we did see clung to us like a mutha fucka. lol Chopping it up like we knew each other. I could see why white people would think all black people know each other by how we were talking. lol one girl in a neighboring town called Hurley approaches me and say, "Oh my god we don't see much chocolate around these parts." She wa looking at me enthralled mouth gaped. Was trying to get my number and everything.
