Yeah and it was second longest in the history of the NBA and cemented them as overwhelming favorites to win the title. The Heat not making it out of the east was a short bus concept a month ago.

Not nearly as high as the Lakers debacle this season or the 03'season when they had Malone and Payton and nearly got swept by a Detroit team with no "star" player.

Way worse than the Lakers this season. The Lakers bounced back and made the playoffs against moderated expectations that they wouldn't. Also, the Lakers as imagined hardly took the floor together.

Will Duncan for once be held to the same standards as Bryant if the Spurs lose to the Pacers?

I think the nature of the NFL makes that different. How much can you fault the Pats for losing one close game? They'd already almost lost several times and the sample size of NFL schedules means their records aren't much to fuss about.

The Patriots weren't just outclassed by the Giants the way the Pacers have the Heat.

Anything can happen once. Best 4 of 7, usually the better team prevails.

You're delusional. And why would Duncan by held to tobe standards when he has surpassed him as an individual talent in relation to team success. TD's never missed the playoffs, never been a 8th seed, won all this titles as the teams best player, has more reg season and finals mvps than tobe. Also, TD career is still ongoing. Tobe is done.

Ain't nothing bigger if the Heat don't get to the Finals. Lakers are just old. Their core are all over 30. Most of them past their prime. Heat have Bosh, Wade and Lebron all in their prime and told us they were going to win not one, not two, not three.....well you get the point. You got 3 of the top 20 players in the NBA on the same team along with Ray Allen and you can't beat a Pacers team who's without their 1st or 2nd best player in Danny Granger? Imagine MJ ever losing to the Knicks without Patrick Ewing.
