Apparently the venom only thickens up the blood of small rodents. In humans it does the opposite and thins our blood so much that it leaks from every orifice. Yes, if you get bitten by this snake, you shit blood.

Not all snake venom attacks the blood, only hemotoxic venoms. Neurotoxic venoms fucks with your nervous system and brain cells, Cytotoxic Venoms destroys localized cells and Myotoxic Venoms fucks with your muscle tissue...

Here's some advise I hope none of you guys have to use.. But if you are ever are envenomated or poisoned by a creature make sure you identify the creature or better yet kill it and bring it in... This can often make the difference of getting the proper anti venom asap, or having to try to ride it out dolo...

I have caught two venomous snakes in my life. An eastern diamondback when stationed in Merridian, MS and a sand viper when in Kuwait.

People don't realize that rattlers only rattle maybe 50-60% of the time, the rest of the time they just strike. This snake was in the path that went to the gym and people took this path rather than walking two blocks up the road the street way. I heard it, spotted it and got a 4 foot stick, pinned his head down. It was 12"-15" so I wanted to extremely careful as baby snakes have much more potent venom than adults because they are so vulnerable. Anyway, I picked it up behind the head as I saw on many animal shows, squeezed and opened his mouth revealing his fangs and walked him about half a mile up the road and let him go. That was really cool and I probably saved someones' life.

The sand viper was just cool. It wasn't on the path, I just wanted to pick it up because it was the third most venomous snake over there.

I love snakes.
