------------------------------

Michael Gerard "Mike" Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is an American boxer. Tyson was the undisputed heavyweight champion and holds the record as the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF world heavyweight titles. He won the WBC title when he was 20 years, 4 months and 22 days old, after defeating Trevor Berbick by a TKO in the second round. Throughout his career, Tyson became well-known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style as well as his controversial behavior both inside and outside the ring.

He was the first heavyweight boxer to hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles simultaneously. Tyson is considered to have been one of the better heavyweight boxers of all time.[1] He is also the only Heavyweight boxer to individually unify the WBC, WBA and IBF titles.

Nicknamed "Iron Mike"[2] and "The Baddest Man on the Planet",[3] Tyson won his first 19 professional bouts by knockout, with twelve of them occurring in the first round. He unified the belts in the splintered heavyweight division in the late 1980s to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Tyson became the lineal champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks in the first 91 seconds of the fight. Tyson lost his titles to 42-to-1 underdog Buster Douglas on February 11, 1990, in Tokyo, Japan, by a knockout in round 10.

In 1992, Tyson was convicted of sexually assaulting Desiree Washington, for which he served three years in prison. After being released from prison in 1995, he engaged in a series of comeback fights. He regained a portion of the heavyweight title, before losing it to Evander Holyfield in a 1996 fight by an 11th round TKO. Their 1997 rematch ended when Tyson was disqualified for biting off part of Holyfield's ear. He fought for a championship again at 35, losing by knockout to Lennox Lewis in 2002. Tyson retired from professional boxing in 2006 after he was knocked out in consecutive matches against Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

Tyson declared bankruptcy in 2003, despite receiving over US$30 million for several of his fights and $300 million during his career. He is ranked #16 on Ring Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time.

There a lot of potential great events we missed with this guy. Some serious fights with Holyfield. More discipline to the sport. He could have went down as then greatest of all time. Instead he marred by controversy. Those great times for fight fans.

could have?

He is in that conversation just because he was so young, and reach those heights so fast. Late 80's Tyson was damn near unbeatable.

Mike Tyson Will Make His Debut In UFC 2 Game

EA is going all out with their upcoming EA Sports UFC 2. In the first game, fight fans and martial arts enthusiasts got to step into the octagon as the godfather of MMA, Bruce Lee, but this time around gamers get to enter the cage as the vicious and indisputably powerful “Iron” Mike Tyson.

IGN detailed how players will be able to don the gloves of two different versions of the controversial and iconic boxer. There's the 1980s Mike Tyson – a young, hungry fighter who would down any and everyone in his path – and then there's the “Legacy” Mike Tyson, who represents the fighter later on in life. Tyson will be a pre-order bonus for those who commit to buying the game before it releases. You get to see both versions of Tyson in action with the debut trailer for the boxer in the video below.

Surprisingly, EA Sports keeps the shots really tight and up close, so it's hard to see the full extension of the punches. I'm wondering if the extended jab and straight cross will make it into upcoming title? Most of the punches being thrown here are the big bombs that will down an opponent in one solid hit.

I'm also wondering how they're going to handle Tyson's ground game in EA Sports UFC 2? In the first game, they got a little wonky with the move-sets for some of the fighters, giving them kicks, punches and submissions they don't actually do in real life. I'm wondering if for the sequel they'll have the character engineers focus on giving the fighters on the roster the moves they actually use in real life?

Well, I guess we'll find out once the beta gets underway. Those who pre-order or register on the website will be eligible to participate in the beta that starts next week on January 28. They'll test some of the modes, some of the features and some of the fighting mechanics ahead of the game's March release.

EA has upgraded and streamlined the process of submissions in the MMA title, so that it's easier to pull off combos and string together positional advantages to make an opponent tap out. They also refined the knockout system in the sequel to EA Sports UFC so that the hits connect better and the knockouts look more realistic.

I've been very satisfied with the mechanics that have been on display so far and I'm looking forward to seeing how the content looks once the beta drops at the end of the month.

The only thing I'm hoping for is that the character creation is a lot more in-depth than what we were given in the first EA Sports UFC.

If you want to get your hands on “Iron” Mike Tyson, you will have to pre-order EA's upcoming UFC outing. You will also get legends Bas Rutten and Kazushi Sakuraba. The game will launch on March 15 for the Xbox One and PS4. Sadly, there is no PC version inbound. You can sign-up for EA Sports UFC 2 beta by visiting the official website.

Mike Tyson Just Endorsed Donald Trump

Former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson wants to see Donald Trump in the White House come 2016.

“He should be president of the United States,” Tyson told HuffPost Live’s Alex Miranda during a conversation about his Adult Swim show “Mike Tyson Mysteries.”

Tyson said he’s looking for a new, business-minded leader for the country after Obama’s eight years in office.

“Let’s try something new. Let’s run America like a business, where no colors matter. Whoever can do the job, gets the job,” Tyson said.

While Trump has gotten criticism for his inflammatory comments about immigrants, Tyson was quick to come to the candidate’s defense. Tyson admitted that Trump’s words were “crude,” but he said he doesn’t believe Trump actually “thinks of Latinos in that way.”

When Miranda asked Tyson if he officially endorses Trump, the former boxer gave a resounding response.

“I would [endorse him], yeah. I like Trump,” he reiterated.
