But on the real, Im hoping it can make a ripple run in the next 3 to 6 months. Meaning by June it can be at $1-$1.50 on a best case scenario. Worst case it never falls below 10 cent... there is a strong community behind this project which is always a good sign. Just need 2 more good pumps and I think a lot of us will be straight.
I dipped out when all the news about it being a scam coin hit. Boy was I wrong. Lot of people are big on it.
The terms "scam" and "shit" coin gets thrown around *way* too liberally in the crypto culture. Kinda like calling someone a "hater" back in the late 90s, lol

I am using Coinbase in my example but know that this comprehension of the numbers is not limited to Coinbase. It can be applied to other coins on other platforms.

There are individuals saying things have peaked. It may seem that way but there is plenty of room to make bread still with all these other coins out there.
Example Scenario: (excluding Bitcoin Cash)
Jan 1, 2017 you have $300 to blow.
You invest $100 each into BTC, ETH, & LTC.
You don’t withdraw or trade your investment.
Just HODL and let it sit until Dec 31, 2017.
You check your Coinbase wallet on Dec 31, 2017.
You have $1,323.98 from BTC.
You have $8,888.81 from ETH.
You have $5,085.65 from LTC.
…
In one year time you just turned $300 to $15,298.43.
You basically made $15K passively.
Now, the coins mentioned previously may not perform this way in 2018 as they did in 2017 but there are plenty of other coins that will i.e. XRP.
ETH has had the best performance in my image with about a 8888% gain.
ETH began the year at around $8 a share and ended the year at about $738 with plenty of room to grow in 2018.
Now imagine XRP, which will began 2018 at around $2 a share, having a similar performance as these other coins.

THIS is sound ass advice. I'm in two platform coins and one is up 400% since I got in and the other is up 4000%+ and growing everyday. I'm not swing trading, just hodling. I lost about 15% trying to swing trade.
Pardon my ignorance, but if enough people feel, value and buy a coin at $100 per coin, then how does market cap matter? I guess what I'm asking is does it mean anything or is it just something to quantify/compare these coins? Is it unreasonable for a coin to have a trillion dollars market cap?
Does it matter if the market cap is high or low if I buy a coin at a dollar and it grows to $100? it's not like stock where I can check out the balance sheet, income statement, etc. to determine a company's performance.

also just remember for every dollar that number of coins has to go into the cap
so for ripple every dollar it rises that means 30+b dollars has to go in and stay in the cap.

if a coin already has 1b cap how much more can it grow? those are questions you ask yourself before you invest
on the other hand if a coin has like a 5m cap or 10m cap or 20m cap and is projected to get to 1b then why not get into that and ride it up to 1b?
