What's really happening is the world is getting smaller, demographics here in the U.S are changing, and if the ruling class wants to hold onto their wealth they must adapt. Thats why some companies are allowed to fail and other's aren't its about power. GM can fail because Americans manage most of the big world economies, so as long as Honda and Toyota make money its all good. Not saying they want America's economy to fail but if it does it just a sign of the times.

It's not the first time capitalism evolved and it won't be the last. The Civil War, women in the workplace, Civil Rights, were all about adapting.
