listened to some of this on the radio. my biggest gripe is that if you don't agree with Monique for legit reasons (she isn't on the level of Chapelle or Rock, isn't a mainstream star like Schumer, etc) the response you are not supporting blk women?

I believe she did all of this to bump her upcoming mother's day show at the Apollo that no one would have known about otherwise.

No the fuck they didnt. The same shit she was accusing Charlemagne of, not being able to explain for giving her donkey of the day, was what her and her husband were doing. They couldn't explain why she deserved more money. This bitch is delusional, and her husband is a pussy. This interview just proves everything people say about her in the industry. I just wish Charlemagne would have came out and said look, you're not that funny or relevant in the comedy world, you don't deserve that type of money. Then if you watch the very end of the interview, she tried to compare Charlemagne to the slave in Birth Of A Nation that gave his wife to the master to be raped. What in the entire fuck is wrong with the bitch? Angela flat out said she knows people that said it's hard to work with her. Get this bitch out of here.

Really the only thing that made sense that her and her husband were saying if you listened was, Netflix told her she couldn't do any stand up for 2 years if she did the special. I guess to keep it fresh. So 500k wouldn't be enough for her not to work for 2 years straight. That part makes sense. But lady, you aint worth much more :dunno:

how is 500k not enough not to do standup for 2 years?


Go look at her schedule and the size rooms she works and see if that adds up to 500K in two years.

Do you really think she's been getting more than 250K a year on the road in recent years?

Plus, she can use that time to do more Oscar wining roles in movies.


She's not scheduled to do any shows til May. A few days

Then after that its September. A few days

Once again, if you listen to the interview, her husband says she could make around two million in 2 years of touring. I'm just going off what he said. If he's lying, he's lying. If he isn't exaggerating or lying, it would make sense not to take 500 K.

500k for one show versus 2 million for two years worth of shows? Monique not getting 500k for one show. I get why she didn't take the deal. I don't get why she just didn't negotiate a better deal or find something else?

Her husband says all kinds of shit. From the very first time this whole thing started I looked at her schedule. It's easy to do. And I looked at the size of the room she's working. She does do some places several times a night but estimating by that it doesn't come anywhere near 2 million a year. Not even 1million.

And if she's making 2 million a year she can easily spend her own money to produce the show and pre package it for anyone who wants it.

She and he have been caught in several lies by now. That's why I said she was bogus from the jump. I didn't speak from feeling. I didn't even Entertan the shit on the other side when someone else says she got offered 3 million. That's just talk that none of us can verify. What can be somewhat estimated is just looking at her schedule.

You see she's on this play now that's getting postponed and cancelled everywhere. You think a play like that can afford to take someone who's making 2mil a YEAR off the road? How is she willing to tour in a bullshit play when she's making that kinda scratch doing standup?

500k without paying for travel everywhere, no wear and tear on the body, crowd comes to YOU, and in ONE show. Plus, her "daddy" is lying. She ain't making no 2 million a year no on the road.

Name any other entertainer in the history of any genre who could be contractually obligated to completely halt their career and "not work for 2 years" after filming one 30 minute performance. I could see if she was being locked into a long term extended contract playing one specific character, but otherwise this allegation doesn't even make common sense! So why does Monique and Sidney keep repeating that obviously absurd half-truth?

Every business wants to make and profit and take no losses. Monique is too much of a gamble right now in the game and she must rebuild her brand to ask for the type of money she wants....Finger
