The Hip-Hop world has been rocked again with the presumed death of Sean Price, a rapper known for his brash lyrical style since the 90’s. Close friends and industry individuals confirmed his sudden passing. He was 43.
The cause of death was not immediately known.
Sean Price, also known as Ruck, rose to prominence in the 90’s as a part of Heltah Skeletah. As a member of the Duck Down collective, he became a stand-out lyricist and had an incredible solo career as well.

Sean Price (March 17, 1972-August 8, 2015) was an American rapper and member of the hip hop supergroups Boot Camp Clik and Random Axe with Guilty Simpson and producer Black Milk. He came to fame as one-half of the duo Heltah Skeltah, performing under the name Ruckus, or in short Ruck, along with partner Rock.
He was also featured in the video game NBA 2K11 as a playable character in street mode. Price lived in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
In 2011, Sean Price was a judge on the Ultimate MC TV show alongside Royce da 5'9", Organik, Planet Asia, and Pharoahe Monch.
Sean Price has been interviewed on the online series Grand Angel TV in 2008 and 2010, with Paid Dues performance footage alongside Boot Camp Clik and Dru Ha, respectively.
He has a planned collaborative album with rapper Ill Bill in the works, called "The Pill." The title is a combination of their respective names, Sean P and Ill Bill.
He is a Muslim, having converted to the faith in 2009.
On August 8, 2015, Price passed away at the age of 43. Details surrounding his death were not immediately available, but reports stated that he died in his sleep. Legendary producer DJ Premier also confirmed the death on social media, writing: "R.I.P. Ruck....Love and Respect to The Duck Down Family!!!" REST IN PEACE SEAN PRICE #1 MC NUFF RESPECT
