Re: ***Official Alternative Natural Health/Food/Bodybuilding Thread***
I dont know what it is,but it sounds like one of those "products" that claim to be the cure all for everything. If that is so,I will tell you that NOTHING substitutes for eating the right foods on a consistent basis. usually those gimiks are used because it feeds on people will to eat unhealthy foods, and at the same time take vitamin supplements to make them THINK they are healthy.

The Ultimate Metabolism Diet: Eat Right for Your Metabolic Type
![]() The Ultimate Metabolism Diet: Eat Right for Your Metabolic Type Hunter House | English | 2008-12-30 | ISBN: 0897935101 | 288 pages | PDF | 12 MB Atkins, the Zone, the South Beach Diet. Anyone with a serious weight problem has probably tried — and failed — to use one of these diets to lose weight. And it’s not their fault. According to weight loss specialist Dr. Scott Rigden, there is no miracle diet that works for everyone because everyone possesses a unique body type and corresponding metabolism. People can be divided into five different metabolic types that have a corresponding plan of specific dietary and lifestyle habits that make weight loss work. In this book, Rigden helps readers determine their metabolic type and then devotes a chapter to each one with dietary, exercise, supplement, and medicine advice complete with glossaries and case studies. He also includes chapters on emotional eating and how to mentally prepare for weight loss. Readers find out why conventional diets don’t work and, using the guidelines in this book, jump-start their metabolism and experience safe, permanent weight loss. http://depositfiles.com/en/files/h5z3izm9y or http://s347.hotfile.com/get/44f06469...0897935101.rar

The Metabolic Diet: The revolutionary diet that explodes the myths about carbohydrates and fats
![]() The Metabolic Diet: The revolutionary diet that explodes the myths about carbohydrates and fats AllProTraining.com Books | 2000 | ISBN: 0967989604 | 485 pages | PDF | 12 MB Summary This book is Fantastic (with a capital F). I am a female bodybuilder and trainer who just loves this book, and use it for all my clients. My husband swears by it. Going through the carb phase is the best part. Over a three month period my husband gained 20 lbs of muscle and lost 15 lbs of fat. Overall he lost only 5 lbs but he's more muscular and much leaner. The good Dr has also put out an Anabolic Solution for bodybuilders that is amazing. If you are looking for someone to hold your hand while training and dieting, this book won't do it for you. It will give you all the guidelines and stamina that you need to do it alone. We had the pleasure of meeting DR Di Pasquale just over a year ago. He is so nice (and he does exist). I find with some of men and women I meet who actually think they are bodybuilders eat a lot of garbage food, and when it comes down to it, they don't know how to train or diet properly. I can tell you this much, if you buy this book, you won't be disappointed. http://depositfiles.com/en/files/cz4ie7cgw or http://s237.hotfile.com/get/67a8d118...0967989604.rar

Re: ***Official Alternative Natural Health/Food/Bodybuilding Thread***
Great Stuff great thread. I posted a while ago that I was trying to go more natural. Well I had to go on deployment and the internet we were running had bgol blocked so I couldnt post until now. Anyways. I stated that I wanted to bulk up and Im glad to say that I did for the six months I was gone. Our diet where I stayed was high in protein (our cooks cooked every type of chicken you can think of from fried to grilled to curry.) If it wasnt chicken it was pork chops or steaks. Take that with weightlifting/exercising everyday and protein shakes and I put on 15 lbs. of mostly muscle.
Now to the organic/natural part. With the recommendations posted here, I bought and was taking the combination of alive whole food multivitamin and mineral tablets, the perfect food super green tablets, vitamin C pills and fish oil. I also bought some hemp protein powder from www.iherb.com (this is an awesome site to get organic/natural supplements and items from). The hemp protein is honestly some nasty stuff on first taste. It has a real nutty taste to it that you have to get used to. I made the mistake on first try of using 3 scoops and blended it with just a banana. That shit was sincerely nasty but my body felt different when I was forcing myself to drink it. Needless to say I wised up and only used one scoop thereafter and blended it with a banana and milk. Also I predominantly mixed the hemp protein with oatmeal when our cooks would serve it for breakfast. I also bought off Iherb this stuff: ![]() Its organic noni, acai, mangosteen, and goji blend in liquid form made by lifetime. Might seem expensive but it was worth the money and tastes good. Its like an alternative to coffee for when you wake up but you only need to take a cap full. I would take this before I worked out sometimes just because of the pep it gives you. All in all I found a good balance in terms of food while I was deployed. I did eat alot of meat products but I also ate a shit ton of fruits(love mangos) and veggies while taking the above tablets and organic items. Now that Im back Im going to start hitting up the down to earth store they have here in hawaii and keep scowling this forum for tips and updates on stuff to try. I truly thank all yall brovas who post in this thread for the knowledge yall dropped. A healthy mind and body to a healthy destiny. |
