Chest Definition?
What type of exercises are particularly good that focus on chest definition, especially getting the cut down the middle separating the pecs?

Re: Chest Definition?
First you must develop overall mass in your pecs.
Then it is different Flys, and Pull over movements with cables and dumbbells. I particularly like incline dumbbell flys, followed by cable flys from three positions High, middle, and low. Finally flat bench pullovers. when doing fly movements squeezing the pec muscle in the contracted position(when the hands come together) is "extremely important. Most people do fly to heavy and to fast or to slow. Movement should be moderate and smooth. No jerking or using body momentum, or bending the arms to complete movement. This should have you pecs nice and shaply, no hanging "Man Boobs" |

Re: Chest Definition?
Man to be honest Bench Press, Decline and Incline are the best basic overall Upper and lower Pectoralis Major. Aux-lifts are good but really don't build overall mass.
Plus man you have to break the muscle tissue down and properly feed your muscles if you want them to grow |

Re: Chest Definition?
Bench presses, dips, push ups. That is all you need. I do pullovers too, but you don't need to do flyes. Stick with the basics and use your chest to complete the movements and not your arms.

Re: Chest Definition?
what he said is, basically, correct...however to answer the original question. dumbbell flyes or cable crossovers will help get you cut..perform the basic compound movements others mentioned earlier for mass and then you can add in a set of flyes to finish off your chest workout. I get good results from it.

Re: Chest Definition?
Dips IMHO are the best for the chest. Get a weight belt to add resistance if you have to.
Lean forward to put more chest in it. |

Re: Chest Definition?
Push ups, dips and incline bench.
Train chest by itself, but don't overdo it. It will lead to shoulder problems.

Re: Chest Definition?
All point are good on chest defintion. I like to do supersets with chest. High rep incline about 35 degrees 25 to 75 reps and go right behind that with flat bench dumbell presses with 40lb 6 to 12 reps. You'll get crazy burn. I say which ever exercises make you the most sore in your chest that's what U should do. What works 4 1 might not work 4 the other. I say Supersets killa!
