Re: running ? help
WHy did you run when you felt like shit? Did you warm up? Stretch before and after? My partner who is a track coach gave me this training method for running. I am going to sum it up. Basically run for a certain amount of time for a week and then you move up in time incrementally. Keep at the same time then you work on your speed at a set time.
Your body may be changing too. I am in my mid 30's and I in great shape. Your body changes when you hit your mid to late 20's. For instance, I couldn't get over 155bs until I was 20 then I was able to gain muscle weight all of a sudden. Now, I hover around 185 and I exercise daily. |

Re: running ? help
You tried to do too much right off the bat. You gotta warm up and work your way up to 4 miles. You must be in some kind of shape tho cuz I might have had to go to the hospital. I got about 2 miles in me at once and after that I will be doin bad.

Re: running ? help
Yes, it's normal for you to be feeling like shit right after a run like that. The body isn't used to it and not used to the shock that comes from running.
In order for this to stop you have to make sure you stretch before and after you run to loosen up the muscles before hand and to also get out some of the lactic acid that builds up in your legs. |
