Every time I don't stretch before working out, I regret it.

And I have to keep in mind that stretching helps lengthen the muscles which makes you look leaner as a result. That's always a good thing!

Most people think that it takes too long to do this, but it WILL pay off in the end. I do about an hour of stretching before running.

I run about 9 miles per day.

I couldn't do an hour. I used to get pissed at my old trainer for taking 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after to train.

Now my most recent trainer, he doesn't really stress it. I think he expects you to do it on your own. But he'll stretch me out if he notices a problem.

I hear you Femme! If I'm paying for an hour, I want the whole hour

Femme consider setting aside 30-60 minutes to do just flexibility work yoga style? I've been working on that recently.

I also do some self acupressure/acuyoga and that helped me a lot when I injured my hamstring doing capoeira. Its still tight, but healed well enough that it doesn't twinge up every time I do something strenuous.
