What's up fam. I'm in need of some advise.
Trying to drop below 250lbs....to about 245lbs to 230lbs. Currently hovering aroung 258lbs. and my heaviest was 278lbs few yrs ago. I'm 6ft.2in. tall. Over last 18 monts been doing P90x, Insanity, hybrids of them both, some workouts of Asylym, and thinking about ordering Tapout XT to change up my workouts. I been getting bored with doing Insanity some but I love Asylum Strength and few other of the worksouts. I dont count calories at all but my diet is not that bad. I've cut alot of carbs in a lot of my meals and eating more veggies. I take One a day men's pro edge multivatamins and usually get about 3-4 (24g/scoop)of Elite Fusion 7 protein shake mix daily. My eating schedule is usually the following: either 1 scoop protein shake pre-workout workout with Insanity or Asylum workout either 1 scoop protein shake post-workout or 2 scoops protein shake post workout (depending if using weights - Asylum Strength workout) 12-16oz coffee on way to work Breakfast - 2 hrs later (chicken/egg or sausage/egg biscuit usually and only eats the smaller part of biscut, not whole thing) Snack (chicken salad or tuna salad on wheat bread) - 2 hrs later Lunch (grilled chicken, green beans/corn, 1/2 peice bread Snack/protein shake (1 scoop) or small meal or sandwich Dinner (usually very healthy) protein shake (1 scoop) water throughout the day maybe sugarless lemonade I have noticed the workouts are not bad...I can handle them but I'm trying to loose it in my gut...it's not that bad but it could be better. I was getting really nice the first time of doing P90X then Insanity but I was doing the Ab ripper X too on schedule. I usually work out 4-5 days a week lately. I'm not a runner and I gave up my gym membership when started P90x about 2yrs ago...strictly workout at home. I use 20/25lbs dumbells when I workout...sometimes bands. I really try to watch what I eat but I do know I have never counted a calorie ever. Any suggestions, they are appreciated. |

Re: Trouble cracking 250 lbs...help...
If you trying cut down on your weight you need to stop taking the protein shake. Average person can only process 30 grams of protein a day. Also you have to run, swim, or bike if you want to shred down insanity nd p90 is going to give u tone not slim you down. Try to eat big but make sure it's light at the same time like salad, oatmeal, fruits.

90% diet 10% exercise...
gains or loses weight wise always start in the kitchen... you are going to need to join a gym to use the treadmills and other cardio equipment or start jogging.

Re: Trouble cracking 250 lbs...help...
If you can find links to P90X+ version, it will help you drop more weight and get your cut up. Also, lay off the protein shakes and drink as much water as you can. This will limit your empty calories we all consume from sugary drinks.
I did 2 rounds of P90X then a round of P90X+ and it had my moms asking me if I was alright. She thought I was sick I had do about 7-10 lbs while doing it. But I was ripped up. |
