Time to give back

The Alternative Natural Health/Food/Bodybuilding Thread was pretty inspiring to me. I'm making efforts to pay greater attention to my health, my diet in particular. Got my hands on a high speed blender and I'm hitting up my local area markets for good sales on fresh fruits and veggies.

Started looking for smoothie recipes and I came up with this collection. 18 ebooks in pdf form. Everything from coffee shop recipes to healthy green smoothies is covered. Even found a copy of Victoria Boutenko's Green Smoothie Revolution.

Just started with the juicing, not so much juicing as I am blending though. Bought a Blendtec, and a gang of veggies and fruits. Since last Saturday, I've been hitting that thing hard. Made my own carrot juice with lemon and agave. And nothing but 3 whole fruit smoothies for breakfast, lunch, an dinner. It's been tough to switch, but I plan on eating sensibly on weekends, low to no carb/good carb, and lean poultry so as to not trap myself into missing foods. Lost about 3 lbs this week.

all i need is my cheap $24 black and decker food processor.

fresh organic blueberries, strawberries, some fresh lime juice and i was good to go.

what surprised me was how filling it was.

next time i'll add some wheatgrass.

Been juicing for awhile, I realized that the pulp makes a good smoothie if you blend it itch ice and some milk.
