Re: Ever Lock Your Keys In Your Car?
Funnily enough - locked my keys in the car twice the past 10 years.
Once I got in one morning at 8am. Parked - sorted through my stuff and put my keys on the passenger seat. Locked myself out (but had my key to get inside the residence). Called automobile association and they called me back in 5 mins and said my door was unlocked. I went outside to say 'hi' and the keys were on the passenger seat and door was left unlocked for me. They'd already bounced. Quick like that. Impressive. Another time ... locked myself out in front of fam's place while I was almost running late for work in a SNOWSTORM. I went to scrape the windows and left the door unlocked and when I closed the door the damn door locked itself and the lever dropped. Fortunately I had the window cracked a little bit, and asked fam' for help and we were standing out there with cars driving by using a COATHANGER for about 10 mins trying to hook and flick the door lock next to the passenger side window. Finally got in and then I raced to work. Shit was embarassing and funny. People walking by staring at us while we explained ourselves at 11pm on a dark street . Re: Ever Lock Your Keys In Your Car?
Breaking the windshield makes sense.
It's easier to replace and insurance may pay for it. If you lie. |

Re: Ever Lock Your Keys In Your Car?
unless u got tint on ur side windows it would shatter an be a whole lot less convenient also you'd be surprised how much some side windows cost are compared to windshields.

Re: Ever Lock Your Keys In Your Car?
There are alot of people that live with this type of logic
That's one stereotype that becomes useful though, I usually know how to break into my cars if I leave my key in it. Stretch the window or use a hanger.

Re: Ever Lock Your Keys In Your Car?
i think a spare key
![]() or call the manufacturer. happen to fam about a month ago. i dont know who was called, but they arrived within the hour to unlock the doors. it would cost more to cut a new key, but unlocking the doors was quick (this is good when the keys are definitely in the car) in my case they were in the trunk (dont ask me how they got the keys locked in the trunk)

Re: Ever Lock Your Keys In Your Car?
I did this. Only to find that the keys were "not" in the car.
Well the only reason I did it was because the windshield was already cracked up. I now keep copies in different places nearby.
