I need to know how to service home unit with freon. Hook a brother up if you can.

Well do you know what kind you need?R-22 you have to have an EPA license to purchase.If you have the freon,you'll need a pump plus gauges.

Got all that, more concered with hooking procedures and gauge pressure readings.

My central air unit very old but I don't remember ever having to get freon added. Just about every summer the darn thing doesn't want to start. Sometimes I can get it working by cleaning the compressor unit or unsticking the relay, or just giving that fan a good spin. Make sure the compressor is starting, not just the fan but the compressor. I all else fails, seek professional help. Its really not that expensive.

Thanks Man, but i am well aware of all the rules and regulation. I'm cerified but havevnt work with home units. thats why I just need the hooking and pressure procedures.
