Camera equiptment advise wanted.

I am in the market to purchase a digital camera, I own a Minolta 35mm 2 lenses and some Cokin filters. Question, should I stick with Sony/Minolta or go with one of the big two Nikon or Canon. I plan on staying in the $1000 range for the camera. What you think?

I have a Canon EOS 300D (rebel XTI)

Its a pretty great camera as far as im concerned...

I hear Nikons are more compatible with stuff tho..

Its really About how u take pictures tho, and the Kinda Lens You use..

If ur a beginner with DSLR...i would suggest going with the Canon Rebel XTI its under 1000$

i paid 700 for mines..but the accessories and lens...are what gets you(price wise)

which lenses do you have for your minolta? If they are very good lenses then it might serve you better to stay with Sonay...lenses are your biggest investment in photography.
